Stopping the Motor - Kill Switch

Once the engine has been shut down (killed) the switch has top be put back to the "run" position, with a momentary switch you simply press the button, engine dies and that's all... its a slight difference in operation.

Stopping the Motor - Kill Switch

Hey Folks, Just looking for some advice on the best way to wire up a new "stop" button. I'm thinking of wiring up a momentary disconnect switch to the positive power lead to the coils to disrupt the spark and effectively stop the motor, however I'm curious if there are some thoughts on a...

    Ugh....

The goal is to simply get the new wiring loom done and mount electrical components (new loom, new mosfet RR and the M-Unit).

    Ugh....

Unfortunately no bikes on the road here! We're mandated by law to have winter tires as of Dec 15 (to March 15), applies to motorcycles as well! Also.... too dang cold! 10F this morning. Maybe I need to move somewhere warmer

    Ugh....

I've stalled on my project, what do you guys do to stay motivated? Winter doesn't help of course, the bike is in a freezing garage (I'm late moving in to the basement for the winter time wiring job!).

You're most likely right, while I don't think it is impossible to add ABS it is most definitely not in my budget or skill set :-P

    Adding ABS Brakes

Love the purists here, don't ever change guys. So, let's get back on track.... if I wanted to add ABS to a classic Goldwing, how do you think it should be done?

    Adding ABS Brakes

ABS is proven to improve braking distance by preventing your tires from locking up (locked up tires = reduced traction and control). The courses we take here in Quebec actually demonstrates (and has you test the phenomenon on a bike) the effectiveness of proper emergency braking, primarily...

    Adding ABS Brakes

What parameters make one ABS system different from bike to bike? Will need to add individual wheel speeds sensors I believe, the rest of the system is contained. For example, Bosch offers a system purpose made for motorcycles https://www.bosch-motorcycle.com/en/de/f ... anced.html Would be...
