    Hello from Maryland

Thank you all for the great welcome. I've owned motorcycles since I was 13 years old and got my motorcycle license since I was 17. I own a couple of motorcycles and was looking for a good winter project, guess I found it. :)

That would be nice. What ever I find it will be an opportunity to learn something for sure. Love an adventure

    Hello from Maryland

Could you keep yours running? I pulled the carbs three times and cleaned them. Cleaned and flushed the fuel tank and replaced the fuel filter and lines. Finally checked the compression and found the cylinder 1 with low compression. I have the motor ready to come out of the frame, hopefully...

    Hello from Maryland

155 on cylinders 2,3,4 and 35 on cylinder 1. I puts little oilin the cylinder and compression pumps right up to 155. Lots of smoking and I cannot keep it running long enough to warm up.

    Hello from Maryland

Hello to everyone just purchased a 1977 GL1000 gold wing with 23000 miles on her but could not get her to run. After removing and cleaning the carbs and checking the compression found #1 cylinder with very low compression. Oh well purchased for a project. :head bang:
