    So heads are on crossover tube on waiting on cam seals anyway the Manuel says apply sealant between the cam holders and head mating surface anyone know what kind? Shellac hondabond 3bond?

    Thanks man I definitely will use it I've done a lot of head gaskets over the years some say use/don't use but I always make sure and copper spray questions are like pulling teeth lol I wish felpro offered a permatorque gasket for these bikes they are hands down the best gaskets and they seal...

    Ok that's what I was wondering I'm always Leary of dissembler metals iv seen them old idi diesels the destruction of electrolysis done plenty of head gaskets but the ones I ordered don't look like the have a sealing coating

    Got everything surfaces today cleaned up and ready for gaskets does anyone have the part number of the dowels that go into the head or at least the size.im gonna put some new valve seals too does anyone know if it's safe to clean the carbon off these valves

    Got the heads off today there was one head bolt that was backed off. think that's what caused the initial problem cylinder bores look fantastic barely any carbon no rings at top of bore. Some carbon on valves not bad though. So I checked the valves for leakage with vacuum pulled and it's all...

    Thanks man I actually own a small engine business so I definitely understand the preparation step basically was just needing info on the best gasket for the job actually considering milling surfaces and using mls

    You shouldn't have any problems with that set I use those there in spec with factory what weight oil are you using that can make a difference in shifting too I use rotella

    Yeah I know they are honestly I thought about having the block surfaced so I could run mls gasket and be done with it but I would have to stud the block

    Yeah some of the aftermarket trans cover gaskets are just a tiny bit thinner and they cause shift linkage binding. Not saying that's what's wrong but it is very possible I've seen it a lot especially with the cheaper gaskets
