Blessed to live through a wreck with a jaguar that was running 150 mph and rear ended me ...my back was broke by a perfect fitting hi back bucket seat ..not sure how anyone involved lived but we all did ...wore a brace non stop.for a long time ...- joedrum

If it's just a bit sooty try opening the gap on plugs a bit ...plugs need to be tuned also ..IMO..might be surprised -
Clutch, not working properly
I HATE those hydro clutches ...hope you get it going ..a lot of BS TO REPLACE A STEEL CABLE .. -

Hmmm sidebars take a special skill ..I'd rethink the plan ..setup on sidecar is not easy deal ..I'd just consintrait on getting bike running first IMO- joedrum

Carb adjust problem
Hmmmm sounds like you got a handle on what's going on ...why not sure ...check plugs and see what difference is on one bad carb cylinder -
