over the last few years I have bought 2 c4 VETTES ..one auto and one 6speed manual ...87 AUTO ..89 manual ...both convertibles...both have the gen 1 SBC TPI MOTORS ..basically chevy first serious EFI CAR WITH INJECTORS ON EVERY CLYLINDER on the 350CI motor ...WITH computer control of fuel and...- joedrum

Shifting without clutch?
My my ...I've had all these motors ..my opinion is strait cut gears Honda did Is the biggest reason these oldwing motors lasted so long ..helical CUT GEARS tear up cases ...the hooch Bile first motor was a 86 1200 short block and I remember it shifting rather smooth ..but eventually it shifted...- joedrum

GL1100 carb bowls leak.
There's no one thing ..the stock carbs were never user friendly or tunable to any degree but a narrow one ...I eventually went to strait carb 2 barrel Weber to work on my highly modded oldwing bike -

Just whining
Great story ..keeps you busy ...lately I am into c4 vettes I have 2 just got the second one running ..a non running project car ..89 yr convertible 6 speed ..projects are fun and nightmares at the same time lol- joedrum

Hoping for help in identifying pin function/wiring of 1980-81 GL1100 ignition switch
Wish I could help ..nothing worse than a switch that doesn't work right ....and the replacements ate not that good either ..my bike ended up hot wired lol- joedrum

Hmmm my vettes have old ECU UNITS TO DEAL WITH ...I've got one vette running very good And strong ..what a nightmare to get it all setup good running wise ..but the ECU RUNS MANY OTHER THINGS...it's like it is possessed with all the things it can do it's not suppose to do ..lol
