    While tearing down this '75 of mine, I noticed the rear wheel is 16" instead of 17". :headscratch: A little investigating revealed that Lester made a 16" but not a 17" for these bikes. Needing new shocks, I'm thinking about going with 14" shocks instead of the 13.5" to get the height back to...

    I was here about 5 years ago but never got off the ground. I'm finally getting around to restoring a '75 GL1000. I'm a motorcycle mechanic (more ATV) by trade but far from a Goldwing expert. Looking forward to everyone's help with this project. Thanks.

    Hello from Missouri

    Been riding for 40 years but have never owned a Goldwing. Still don't but I see one in my future. A 1000 or 1100. I just brought home a trailer full of GL1000/1100 parts. Mostly GL1000 parts. All I need is a frame and I could put a whole bike together. Hopefully by spring I'll have one together.
