    What would you do about the rust on these mufflers?

    So, here are some before & after pics. Spent an hour on this one yesterday with a wire wheel on my die grinder and a smaller one on my Dremel. Cleaned up pretty good I think! The other one should as well. Now, a connundrum: do I cut off the chrome heat shields to get at the rust under there...

    Got a great deal on these to replace the open pipes I currently have. I'd like to clean up some of this rust before I mount them though. None of the rusted bits will really show once mounted, so cleaning them up is really just for my piece of mind. So how would you do it? If the mufflers...

    Removing a broken bolt.. well, the end of the process at least!

    I broke a bolt off inside the case while removing the transmission/water pump cover. Using left-handed bits, I drilled it out to 1/8" and inserted an extractor but couldn't get it to budge. I even made a little platform out of a Dremel case and some scrap wood to help keep the drill level...
