    Towards the dark side

I will certainly give you my honest opinion. problem with HD's they all appear to be a bit agricultural. But I must say the 883 feels very comfortable, good balance and a low centre of gravity. With luck it may well help me to avoid getting a mouth full of tarmac. :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

Your dead right there V, it shakes when stationary, the engine is on rubber mounts. As for going Milwaukee, yes your right, but and this is a BIG BUT, I won't be selling the GL when it is finished, I was looking for a Honda Shadow with low miles and 700cc couldn't find one that was good and they...

okay so as to the colour that I am leaning towards it is on a wheel but it should give an idea, so the engine block and heads, piping shall be done in the cream or ivory some of the flat covers too. so here is a wheel that has just been done.

    My build (another one)

So not last night as promised as my hip was killing me, but done it 10 minutes ago, so here is the exhaust valve that has the hole in it. I have photographed it on a piece of white paper and with the arrow to the hole. It is very small and doesn't go all the way through as I first thought but is...

    My build (another one)

It is just water and Bicarbonate of Soda, so you need two heads one for the water under pressure and the Soda also under pressure. if you go to Eastwood you can get the idea there IE https://www.eastwood.com/autobody/blasti ... sters.html. I don't have an Eastwood's here so no point in buying...

    Fork cleaning/polishing or painting

So my fork legs were quite bad, not as bad as yours, but there is hope, they are hard chromed, what they did with mine was first ground off enough chrome to get rid of the pits, they were then re chromed with additional material and then reground down to size. Yours are quite pitted, but you...

    My build (another one)

Okay we go one step further, we are now down to getting the engine sorted. I took the heads off and they looked a bit mankey, corroded and full of carbon deposits. As I had a spare set of heads I decided to go with those, they were the ones in the Ultrasonic bath. Due to my age, and my...
