I am still having fan issues on my 91 Goldwing 1500A. I have replaced the Therm Switch but the engine still goes all the way to the red line. The antifreeze is full.This all started when I changed the gasket on the water pump. If I touch the plug to the switch to the frame the fans both come on...

Thank you for the heads up. I thought it should work by jumping it. And of course it is probably going to need the therm switch and its not an easy fix!

I need help on how to jump across the fan to see if it is working or not. I treid to jump the fan from the battery with the key on but the fan would not come on. Also, to check for voltage to the therm switch do I just check it at where the fan plugs into the connector?
