I was out on a ride with friends yesterday and noticed while riding at or around 30 my gl1200 seams to wander left and right not bad but it's there. When I topped up gas it seemed better. anyone got any ideas?
I got the belts Friday read through the info on belt replacement a few more times and the job went without any trouble :good: The old belts still looked pretty good, but there new now, piece of mind is worth a fortune.
The to you all for the help.
Deer are a bad one in some places. At night I'm always looking for the eyes flashing in the ditch, but the critters can put the fear of death into you for sure!!!
If there's a car sitting at a side road I always plan for it to pull out in front of me. When I'm going around a blind corner I'm planning for some idiot going wide from other direction. I ride slightly faster than average vehicle so I'm passing them on my terms instead of the reverse. So far...
Thanks guys I'll change them I suspected they should be changed but was hoping someone would tell me it was unnecessary. also needs carbs cleaned and synced. I 've cleaned carbs on snow machines and bike's before so I think I can handle it and thanks to this form the belts should be no problem...
I just bought a 86 gl1200I. The timing belts have never been changed. The bike has only 39000k. Should the belts be changed or can I still expect 100000k out of them? :nea:
I just bought a gl1200i with 38000 mi. I never owned a gw before although I've had other mcyls. It rides really nice but the peddles have been replaced with after market ones that aren't very good. I'll go back to stock ASAP. Nice to be able to cruise at freeway speeds so quietly. :thanks:
