Yep, texted with Paul, and I think we have it straightened out. Want to thank you so much Brian for alerting us to the fact that he had it! We have been hopeful that it turned up, just never imagined that Paul would get it!

Paul certainly has it! He is going to load the most recent firmware on it, and then send it to me!

So, someone got it? It was lost by UPS....I would love to get it being we paid for it. Bob has been great trying to help out on this.

At the moment, we will be keeping the 1200 cams. Going to drill and tap the cam. Once the guy that rides it gets bored, who knows what we will stick on.

You can always put a 1200 block in there with 1000 heads. That should give you the clearance you need. In the event that you don’t wish to do that, gregforesi had to scallop his tank panels to get things to clear on White Trash.

I would wait to drill anything out. Knowing what these manifolds are like, you can probably put a broom stick in each hole and give it a little tug apart to straighten it out.

I replaced a stator in an 84 standard recently, and was certainly concerned about not having to do the job to more than necessary. The fella that owns the bike didn't want a Poor boy mod, so I put in this one from Randakk. So far, so good. Charges great now.

That sounds a lot like my modified pipes on my IS...chopped the rear set of baffles off, slammed some stacks on, and peeled the cut off baffles and reinstalled them in the stacks for when I want it to be a little quiet.

I don't know if it would be worthwhile for you to ship your injectors across the border, but I have great luck with this company. I had sent them a total of 8 injectors, 4 of which were out of my 85 EFI setup, and they were able to clean and recalibrate them all, giving them a clean bill of...

If you really want to cover it up, you can put a tank bib on it...there are a few companies that make them.

Makes sense! Sounded a little like when I cut the rear baffle out of my pipes and stuck stacks on it, but it seemed to have a touch more sound to it.

What pipes do you have on the Valk? Glass packs?

The C5 will mount right up to your 1100 cams provided you drill and tap the end of the left cam. The C5 has its own housing. A worthy upgrade! :salute:

Put quite a few miles on a 99 or 2000 Vstar 650...no troubles at that point, but it was new then.
