    To which extent would most go? Its pretty gunked up, and seems to have sat for many years. Just replace pistons/rings/ timing belt and head gaskets and see what she can do? I havnt found too much time yet to even dig into it. Cheers

    Right on! I got some frame/engine numbers, definately is a 1979 GL1000. Will know more about that fairing when i go pick her up! Are the engine/frame numbers supposed to match? They seem fairly close ...Frame # is GL 4113113 – Engine # appears to be GLOE 4113152
