Hey Ernest, I've been in the throws of changing jobs. A lot of inductions and other related requirements for my new role. My new thread tap turned up so I was able to clean up the swingarm pivot points and reassemble the 81 to a rolling chassis again. Working on the engine now, cleaning and stripping paint. Preparing it for its new satin black coat. I've got the 75 and 83 aspy frames all prepped ready for paint. I'm still awaiting the return of my forks from rechroming from the other side of Australia. The valve stem seals I ordered online 3 months ago finally arrived yesterday so I can finally complete the reassembly of the aspy heads. Which after working on them I am now very tempted to remove the 81 heads and give same treatment. I don't really want to disturb the low km engine but would serve 2 opportunities..... Clean up and polish the ports and inspect the bores after its been sitting so long. Summer has finnaly arrived yesterday with temps in high 30's centigrade so working in garage on bikes is like working in a sauna. Temp gauge in my car was showing 40 degrees C at one point. I've still got to find a replacement 1100 for the 81 as well... Steady steady I guess... Oh and getting my blackbird ready for the road again New front tyre - michelin pilot road 5 and new battery. Changing the exhaust from a noisy 4 into one back to the oem system. And I'm doing a full service on it as well... Bikes hey.... They keep us broke and occupied... How's progress on yours..
