Crystal is back on teh road! And without any help from Vegaswingnut thank you very much "Mr. JoeDrum." :cheeky:  :smilie_happy:

The extra length(1/4") of the longer H.O. unit was a challenge, but I wrangled it into place. I couldn't use the original lead that disappears up somewhere under the upper side, so I spliced them together, the new unit had a second wire going to a small black box on the rear of the alternator.

13.8V at start up that came down to 13.6V where it stayed. I wasn't ready for the smell that wafted up after starting it the first time. I thought there was something dreadfully wrong expecting the unit or wiring to go up in flames but it did not so I took her for a ride. No problems in the city or highway so I think I'm good.

Saturday or Sunday it's off to Vegaswingnut's to install the new dampers as they have not arrived. I put the new alternator in today because the wife and I work different hours now and it would have suck the next few days with her coming early and then me going back late to pick her up.
