I have some B 12 and will try it.

This morning I got out the original tank from the 77 ( the one with all the big dents) and after making a holding fixture for the vise I cut the tank in half beside the seam. Evidently some PO had used Kreem tank liner probably 30+ years ago and it was nasty inside.

Tank liner might be okay for a regular tank without pickup screens but in my humble opinion never in a gl tank.

The plan is to get a panel beaters hammer and carefully beat out all the dents then after everything is bead blasted inside and out very carefully weld the two halves back together.

I might have to cut off the screen for the reserve line because it is hopelessly clogged with tank liner and rust.

I was going to scrap that tank anyway so all I am out is a little time and it might just work.
