Hey,

I installed a radio on my Interstate last night.

I'm not done making it look pretty yet, and I have some things that I would do differently next time.

I have a faceplate cover that is going to give it a finished look.

Things to do different:

1 buy radio with handlebar controls - OR - buy radio with speed dependent or noise dependent volume adjustment

2 Four speakers - I only have the fronts, and there's no bass.

3 Cable ties inside the fairing, behind the radio. you can't see it, but I know it.

Things I did right:

1 Cheap radio with bluetooth

2 Soldered connections, with shrink wrap

3 Sturdy mount faceplate

4 Internal mount antenna

I'll post another after I add the pretty faceplate.

I'll even try to hold still as I take the picture.

Overall I'd say it was a fun, easy project, with satisfactory results.

I hope this helps you if you are considering a radio for your Interstate.

Thanks,

Greg
