I also remember reading on the Randakks blog that the rebuild procedure in some of the shop manuals aren't correct so that may be a factor as well. I think I will try at least a little Sea Foam over the next couple of days to get by but ultimately, I think I'll do a full tear down and cleaning as you have suggested. My idea of a rebuild vs. the previous owners idea are likely different, I'd rather have peace of mind knowing what I have. Thank you for the valuable input!</p></blockquote><p></p>
