Don't worry about it, mine is still tight in shape (slow) turns. I'd just enjoy it. Now it's time to dream of all the places we'll go next Summer.

California Sidecar makes something called "Easy Steer" which in fact puts a rake on the forks - about 6% I believe. It's like it's been chopped. It doesn't cut the frame but replaces the upper and lower fork bridges. I guess it works although I've never driven a Trike without it. It was part of...

    POLISHING FUNKY VALVE COVERS

Another tip - use a paint stripper to remove clear coat before you start sanding and buffing.

    POLISHING FUNKY VALVE COVERS

Avoid the urge to use a Wire Wheel, stick to the sandpaper and buffing wheel. Finis with a couple of coats of clear coat. Just getting the covers off was a job - but one I've been wanting to do for years. It's worth the effort. Check out the Before & After Pictures.

It's just the standard Reverse that came with the SE and Aspencade in 89. Roadsmith used a Volkswagen (independent) Rear End with Ford axles, hubs and brakes. I still have my air ride and there's a sway bar that makes for a more stable ride. The Easy Steer on the front came separate - I shutter...

    BACKREST, SEAT COLORS CODES

The time might come when you need a new Seat or Passenger Backrest. I recently got tired of looking at my sorry backrest and decided to by a new one. I decided I'd stay with (OEM) original Honda parts so I paid the price. In my shopping (research) I quickly discovered that the 89 Gl1500 had...

    Cruise control handlebar switches??????

You might want to check the age of the tires - still - you did get lucky with the electrical.

    Cruise control handlebar switches??????

They're money hungry scam artists. I'd bet most of their customers don't even know they've been scammed.

    Cruise control handlebar switches??????

I'm with you on those bad levers. I want to sell mine on Ebay but I won't rip a buyer off like that. The best thing to do is to put them in my vise and use my hacksaw to cut them in two. Maybe I'll just toss them into the recycle bin.

    Upgrade your GL1500 Sound System

I found this AMP on Ebay - it really worked better then I'd hoped. Having more power doesn't mean you make a nuisance of yourself Blasting high volume through your neighborhood. It means more radio stations and overall better fidelity. The cassette adapter isn't going to give you more power. I...

    GL1500 TIMING BELTS

I changed out all 5 filters last week. I guess I could have pushed it and got the timing belt. Nobody said but "do I need to re-set the timing once the new belt is in place"?. Oh well - there's always "one more thing".

Radio tuner on handlebar and radio wont stop on a power staion??

Does your car's radio pick up strong signals in your location? The search feature on your Honda radio is looking for a substantial signal and won't stop until it finds one - or you interrupt the search.

    Educate me on the 1500s

My GL1500 gets around 38MPG. Keeping clean filters in it helps it seems. All GL1500s have carburetors, Honda went to fuel injection when it designed the 1800cc.
