Ruh Roh. :help: I have a couple of extra pieces. :beg: These clips are small, under 2" each and I think they are brake related. Time to search the manuals. :laptop: Thanx, Dave

Went for a short ride to the bank. Suspense fells great (0 psi), left caliper drags. Put in new brake pads, so I'm hoping (probably foolish, I know) it will "settle in". No ideas on those 2 extra pieces? Thanx, Dave

Put 'em in. Shouldn't take long at all. (30 minutes for both sides?)
Less. And that included putting the chrome covers back in place. Took a short ride over to a friend's. Left side still was/is dragging. Quite hot at his house, back to even heat both sides back at my house. We'll see.

A final post. I rode to work today (1/2hr city/highway mix) and it works wonderfully. I've put no air pressure in it (I only weigh about 160lbs.) and the fork feels stable and dry. I worked the front brakes and the temperature was about the same at both disks, and there was no noticeable dragging at stops. I want to thank you guys for encouraging me to take on this relatively simple repair/upgrade. I might have been able to muddle through alone, but maybe not. I'd rather ride 'em than fix 'em, but it is very satisfying to have done it. :thank_you: Thanx again, Dave

I thought I would do a wrap-up report. Some were curious how 20W50 would behave as my fork oil. I've probably got 500 miles of experience now; a fair mix of city/country/highway. I'll remind you that I also replaced the springs with Progressives and that I have no air pressure in there. I can say with some surety that I like the firmness, very stable under all conditions. I do not find it harsh, but I do drive a tractor trailer for a living, so my standards of comfort might be skewed. Thank you all for the handholding during this little project. I'm sure it won't be the last. Dave
