Nice ride, I feel like you may be a long lost brother, I was looking at Valkyries today. Good luck and take care. Keep the rubber side down. Bill

I was resisting the transition to a cruiser as I love my GL1100 and CBR1000f s but the Valkyrie is really great to ride and a lot easier to throw my leg over. The only problem is that it is too pretty for a ruffhead like me who is always paranoid about scratching or damaging it.

...replacement!

+1

Bike's age with wear just like we do. We all have scar's from what has went on in our time on the road of life. :good: Almost like tatoo's :smilie_happy:

It's now 4.30pm and I had come out of surgery at midday after a successful Anterior hip replacement.
Unfortunately the Spinal block is now starting to wear off and it is now time to start self administering pain meds. :lazy:

Don't be a martyr. Nothing wrong with a little relief for a while.
:good: :salute: :lazy:

One potential danger is an elevated temp. Make them check your temp every 6-8 hours. If it's more than 2 degrees, ask for a doctors assesment. I think infection is the number one worry for now. The rest will have some discomfort, but the pain meds do a good job with it. If you aren't catheterised, I think they also want you to piss- plenty - or it goes back in. So grunt hard when you pee, unless you're into that kind of thing. Lol

Thanks for all the advice. I think I am receiving royal class treatment at this near new Private Hospital on the Gold Coast. At one stage vitals were being checked every 15-20mins for the first couple of hours, the every half hour for a while and 10hours later once per hour. Private room with the latest large flatscreen, electronic vitals monitor, oxygen feed and of course the self pain medication. I just might finally decide to grab some sleep soon.

I can only hope that OhioBill has as great a surgeon and team that I have had for his Surgery today!
:beg:

I came home today. Before I left I had my 3rd physical therapy, 350 stroll and climbing some stairs. Only concern so far is the constipation, waiting for the log jam to break. Other than that it has been easier than the first time.

Great to hear Bill. :good:
I hope to milk my stay as long as possible so that it is easier on my wife when I get home. It looks like my surgery has taken more out of her than me.
