:thanks: guys!
I was thinking that I might have to give up the CBRs due to limited range but from today's conversation with the Physio I should be good to go. I certainly appreciated the lower seat height of Val when riding on Tuesday as it was getting harder to get my leg up over the seat. I may even get to try an adventure bike if I put some effort into getting fitter after my new hip.
Should be fun with metal detectors.. :hihihi:

hmmmm i think pieces of me would just fly off me in off road biking in perfect form riding ....leg height is a struggle with oldwings .....seems something could be done to help that ....i may have to some day

27" seat height helps a lot. Especially moving it around or backing up. My back's a little messed up too, huh? Im pretty sure I'd be 1-2" taller if my back was straight. You'll know when you're ready. Your driveway is going to be a big factor for you. Hope you're doing well.

I was let out of Hospital at 10am yesterday and Ruth drove me home with a quick stop at the grocery store on the way where I was made to wait in the car while she ran in. I was probably sitting in the car for at least a total of 50mins by the time we finally arrived home. Prior to my surgery I had developed some lower back pain and every time I went to get out of the car after a 30min plus drive I was always stiff and struggled to straighten up. Since surgery I have had no back pain and didnt get stiff in the car when I climbed out. After a rest at home we went to my daughters 29th birthday party at the local gocart track and then 2 hours later to her place. Ruth was pretty tired so we didn't stay too long and we were home by about 7.30pm. I really felt great even though my leg was fairly swollen but nothing too bad that icing didn't fix. We went out for breakfast today at Maccas and then did some chores including picking up a couple of batteries for a job at the end of the week. It was then off to the daughters again for a barbecue lunch then some more grocery shopping and back home by about 4pm. I feel great and am getting more mobility and flexibility as each hour of getting around progresses. At this rate I should be walking unassisted by the weekend even though the Doc has advised me to use an aid ( crutch ) for 2 weeks to be on the safe side. I need to check with him tomorrow to find out when I can actually drive myself.

Me standing and filming them as they drive past the pits. It was threading to rain all day and there were only a couple of lite drops during their four 8 lap heats. Luckily it was about 10-15c cooler than yesterday. :good:
