this is a mock-up of my single carb setup. it uses a type 2 vw manifold, PVC runners for the plenum, a single barrel to double barrel adapter plate, and a pict30-1 carb with manual choke. In the final build which is now installed and running purrfectly is a 1 inch riser and a 30mm to 34mm adapter.
