Seems to be running real smooth otherwise.

Sound is real bad if the alternator/stator nut loosens up.

Would tapping in a set screw or 2 work? Looks like the peg is thick enough to hold threads.

Could be the cap isn't venting. Try running it with a turn loose.

A put a 30 amp circuit breaker in place of that fuse...

That is a marine grade fuse holder so I'd think it should be good quality. The fuse is the main for the whole bike so it will get hot. I'd solder the connections for now and keep an eye on it.

Trying to find the better fuse holder I used but it's getting hard to source the good stuff. Loose crimps could cause it to get hot. I'd solder the connections and try that.

Those fuse holders get hot, they aren’t very well made and will fail eventually. Need to get a better quality

Yeah those 300 mile seals seem like junk. Hope this new one works out!

Its pretty rare to make any money on these project bikes and that's not why we build them anyhow, so make it the way you want.

Whenever I had a leak with those seals I cleaned the seal and mating surface with brake cleaner and applied high heat silicone, the orange stuff then let it set a day to cure. Never had a problem after.

Not really conflicting. You do need to adjust the pilot screws first, but the carbs need to be synced after. May even have to readjust the pilot screws after sync.

I have no input either other than do what the doctors tell you and take advantage of physical therapy for as long as you can.
