Just in case.... I made a carb sync tool using hose from my o2 machine because I thought it would be the perfect size, and it was long enough to do whatever I wanted. Then I couldn't figure out why the "thing" wouldn't hold vacuum. I guess it's made to not collapse when in use. Unfortunately...

Do not use hose from cpap oxygen to make carb sync tool.

There are the effects of contaminates and oxidation that chemically attack the oil. If whatever is in the oil bottle when new "breaks-down" after some time in an engine such that it will not pass the same tests as new oil, then that oil has experienced "wear".
