I am very pleased with my set up ...but my motor is far from stock setup ..to where stock 4 carb Honda set up stood no chance of working ....and as I posted I had to mod the idle set up to work ...most people who use car carbs usually get worse mpg than stock carbs can do if right ...bit a few...

The one post from dirt cowboy says it all car most suffer from idle Circuit to big for motor cycle motors ..on my st up I actually modded the idle cirquit smaller so it idles good ...and yes they transition plate to mount 2 barrel carb to one barrel set up...

The one barrel carbs and jetting and stuff ..I don't know much about ..my carb is a 2 barrel carb ..there are some here that may be able to help you better ..good luck

It's in the exhaust probably oil seems to collect there ..I am thinking smoke will go away after a good ride

Mostly they interchange ...84 motor has its ignition in the rear of motor like the 1100s do ..85 is in the front in the timing belt covers ..84 has same gearing as 83 1100s with the 1200 2.83 rear pumpkin this the tallest geared 1200s made ...85 are a bit lower geared ..I don't think there's a...

If it's not leaking down it needs no valve lapping ...I would oil up things around the guilds and stems and operate the head's by hand using cam pulley and rubber hammer tapping valve spring to check for good movement and no sticking going on ...if it sat so long ...rubber tapping will loosen up...
