Get the motor out

After getting the Wing home and giving it a good pressure wash

Picking up the Wing. April 2020. Brakes were stuck so P.O. was loosening the calipers so we could roll it out and onto my trailer.

I tried earlier today but was not able to do it the way I wanted with a description and then a picture, then more description and another picture. I think I’ll just post the pictures with a caption on each one.

Can anybody tell me where these go? I don’t remember, I don’t seem to have any pictures of them on the bike, and I can’t find them on any parts lists. I’m baffled.

I’m not overly happy with these pictures but I’ll go ahead and post them. I noticed when I went to move the bike this morning that my fuel pump is leaking out the weep hole. It’s a never ending process... I threw a couple of BEFORE pictures in just to show where I started. Anyway, here’s my project.

I promise pictures soon. Don’t want to post crappy pictures of a bike that deserves GOOD pictures.

Thanks. I’m trying to run it where the factory ran it. I’m pretty sure the factory didn’t run it the way mine was run. For now, I’ve run it under the seat to the front seat bracket where it bolts to the frame. I’m quite sure that’s not where it belongs, but at least it’s not sticking out in the...

Can someone with an original Wing please tell me where your negative battery cable attaches to the frame? Mine was attached to the outside of the upper engine mount and I’m quite sure that is not where it’s supposed to be. Thanks, Chris

I am in need of both exhaust manifolds for the restoration I’m doing. Mine are kind of eaten up where they attach to the muffler and I’m not a good enough welder to attempt a repair. Does anybody have a set of these sitting around they would like to get rid of? Anybody but the REPOGUY...

Stock springs are .730 and EBC springs are .760 So, about .030 difference. Just enough to cause problems...

Yes. Those are the ones! In fact, I’ve got a brand new set sitting on the workbench you are welcome to if you would like to try them. I don’t know WHY they were larger than stock, but they were. JUST ENOUGH to cause problems. I’ll measure them when I get a chance, compared to the stock springs...
