Now check your hand brake switche. Hand brake switch can be taken apart and cleaned easily.

Yup on start button. The light will stay off until it's jarred, or otherwise unstuck. Electrical cleaner right into the button, key off and bump the button multiple times until its freed up.

Have you tried bending/prying the contact bars up to make sure they are all making contact with the pins?

Sold my Naked 1200 a few years ago after 3x bi-pass surgery. Sure wish I kept it, but at the time I really didn't need 2. What makes it worse is, I heard the young man I sold it to, crashed it. Don't know what was damaged but he had it on CL with my pics and stated that it had been wrecked...

Dan, that would be Nacimiento Ferguson rd. Pick it up in Fort Hunter Liggett and head to to the coast. Very tight and dappled sunlight make some turns disappear, but the views from the top heading down to the coast are amazing.
