the Blue Goose is ready to leave NJ and head to Louisiana

I seen the throttle cables actually moving when I turned the wheel, so I pushed them around in diffent spots until they stayed still when I turned the wheel....problem solved. She struggles a little coming out in of 1st gear. I have to give her more throttle than normal and ease off the clutch...

the Blue Goose is ready to leave NJ and head to Louisiana

I don't see anything binding up, but it has to be, because: while idling, if I turn the wheel to the left the rpms drop and when I turn it to the right the rpms raise. Also the choke doesn't help the bike on initial start up. I have to lock it my manual cruise until bike warms up. Things that...

the Blue Goose is ready to leave NJ and head to Louisiana

I have a throttle issue. Sometimes she runs perfect and other times she acts like she's not getting any throttle (although I have it wide open). I'm assuming that I loosed something up on the carbs (or throttle cable) when I pulled the motor. ( I just held the carbs up with bungy cords, I did...

https://youtu.be/acWYrBugcaE https://youtu.be/acWYrBugcaE https://youtu.be/nN526s4nkus https://youtu.be/nN526s4nkus She has a clanking that I think is the carbs or fuel/air mixture. I'll double check my valve adjustments. Then get the carbs worked. Well, get them worked enough that I can...

Can't get the "blue goose" (gl1100) started

Ok, I cleared out room in the garage, ready to pull the engine and see what I did wrong with the transmission. I have another transmission to look at. I just couldn't see how I could have done anything wrong and the 2 halves bolt up so easily. Then (like many other times), Great Lakes...

Can't get the "blue goose" (gl1100) started

Yup, she shifts up and down, motion wise. But there's no, cluck into first gear when the shifter is pushed down. I may not have 4th and 5th either. I Only ran it up to 3rd gear. I'll find out in the morning, if I have 4th and 5th. If I have to pull it again, I'll just slap a running motor in...

Can't get the "blue goose" (gl1100) started

I used my original transmission. I just swapped the crank and the transmission drive shaft. I hope I don't have to pull this motor again. I was looking at the other transmission, trying to figure out what I could have done wrong, but I'm stumped. I was hoping it was something in the front...
