Just looking at some photos and noticed a 1200 seat on an 1100, do these fit no trouble, looks like they do, thing is there are more 1200 parts and seem less expensive then the 1100 stuff..Any other stuff swap out with little to no effort?
How about engine guards, front fender guards or any other swappable stuff.
Thanks for your help.

A 1200 seat can be modded, but with so many other seats available why go through the trouble? Unless someone told you you can't do it and you caught J.Drum Fever.

Now you have put out the challenge to him... :smilie_happy:

I really need a 1200 box of parts just to see what will fit or how easy the mod can be, just thought other had a first person account of mounting a seat or any parts from a 1200 to an 1100.
Looking for certain parts can be time consuming and parts selection can be doubled by being able to choose between both bikes instead of just one..Parts seem to go cheaper for the 1200 and look to be in better condition for the most part.

Never had the opportunity to put 1200 parts on a 1100. All I know is they alledgedly changed the frame, beefed it up for the 1200's extra weight and torque. Of course Honda is not going to tell you what they changed as far as the frame. Joe said earlier the wheelbase was longer on his 1000 frame since he swapped in the 1200 swing arm and final but he didn't say if the difference was in the length of the swing arm or difference in the frame length of the 1000 versus the 1200 . Be nice to know all the differences.

ok mike ... from the center of pivot where swing arm mounts and then to center of axle ...on 1000s its 17 1/2"... on 1100s its 19 1/2" ....on 1200s its 21 1/4" .....also on the 1000 frame the output shaft is 1" closer to the swing arm pivot mount ... there is a lot of mod work from the mongrel put on hooch for it to use 1100 and 1200 final drive units
