Basically a "barn" find. Guy had it sitting in a semi-open garage for about 3 years. Birds did a number on it, that's why it's naked. Started tearing it down so I can paint the parts. Needs a very thorough cleaning. Engine turns, bike is whole.
Had the bird pooped pics, but alas no more.

Excellent! Another one saved from the scrapper. How`s the paint under the bird doo?

To answer your question, that's why I have to repaint it. That stuff does a number on paint! Also, I didn't like the dark color.

I found an 84 aspen. the other day too...I'm thinking real hard on it....it needs alot of TLC too, the farings don't match, and i'm sure the motor needs some timing belts, ect.. so Maybe this could be my standard i've been wanting to build..
Standards are nice, but Aspencades are sweet! I say work it, take your time and enjoy giving it the tlc.
