Action Cameras

Here is one for those who use one, and I am soon to be one...

How sturdy are the Vivitar mounting kits, or any of the other type that use the mounting tape to attach the mount to a flat surface. Any other suggestions of a good mounting location? I bought a JVC camera today and I kinda would like it to hang around for a while... :smilie_happy:

Do they still put the screw hole on the bottom of cameras?..I would definitely use it there then you would have a cornucopia of places to mount from, has to be some kind of universal bracket you can buy, all else fails try the coat hanger :mrgreen:

+1 on the coat hanger :good:
The Gopro uses genuine 3M self adhesive mounts and they stick really well, the Gopro is fairly lite though. I have some clamp on bar mounts that you could use ( mounting a mirror atm with the CBR MC installed on the Rats Nest)

It has the screw hole on the bottom and I have the Vivitar Helmet mounting kit that gives me numerous helmet options and several 3M mounting tape applications also, I'm just not sure of the best place to put the darn thing. It only weighs 4 oz. but for that weight I paid over $50 an once for it, so I don't see any coat hangers in the near future... :smilie_happy:

hmmmmm ....well to me till they come up with a deal where microphone is a plug in so you can get a decent sound ...the camera is just not set up for my needs .... you know nascar has has stuff like this on 200mph cars so i know they know how to make something right ... heck they got mounts with powered swivel ...they not that big a deal ... i know now the band aid on mic dont work ...dont really know why one not available with features we need

it seems like im never going to be able post something with out a screwed up word or fifty sheesh :rant:

I know what you mean Joe and that is why everyone dubs music over their video to cover up the wind noise. :music3:
