Anyone using Radar/Laser detector?

Way back in the day everyone seemed to have one. Mine was some brand I can't remember, driving at a high rate in my hopped up Mustang II 302 I felt like a fighter pilot avoiding a lock on. Of course there were false alarms but somehow the thing gave a false sense of security.

I did a quick search before posting the topic as I had the same question. They are in fact still on the market with some very pricey up to nearly $1,000.

My Passport 8500($300 at the time, mid '90s) has saved my bacon many times. Had a mount on "The Turd" the whole time I rode it. Don't really have a safe, logical place to mount it on The Green Weeny. There are better ones out on the market now, of course, but I run with it anytime I'm on the road.

I'm kind of leery in the event a highway patrol officer or cop sees it on a stop and maximizes the penalty.

My method of highway riding, which has served me for many years, is to ride faster than the flow of heavy traffic until a gap is found. Sometime that involves exceeding posted speed limits
