Going back to Oklahoma with my bike in the bed, I am mounting 4 eye bolts to the bed floor for front and rear strapping. I have a motorcycle jack I need to take back with me and was wondering if it would be helpful or hurtful to put it under the bike and jack it up snug , just enough to keep the jack from sliding around and maybe it would help steady the bike as well...cant think of any harm other then the bike couldn't compress down but if the bike is strapped snug already
Thoughts?

If it were me, I'd do it, but I'd put a piece of heavy carpet or thick rubber above and below the jack. Things have a way of shifting and working loose on a long haul. Best of luck with the move, and be safe in that crazy, stormy state!

Agreed! I'd cushion it and try it. Keep an eye on it in case it does have some unforeseen issue. Oh and if you must have the front wheel turned. be sure it's turned right. I some how managed to pinch wiring once with it turned left.

Don't see how it could hurt, :nea: as long as everything's strapped down tight enough, so nothing can move. :headscratch:

I would of thought steering locked to the left if straight ahead is not available would be the preferred way to transport our bikes. Was it Vetter wiring that was jammed on left hand lock?
