diesil oil is made for big trucks and farming equipment .... it is the best as in oil use for it .. and like was said its is the best .. it holds up better and the lite load a bike as compared to truck or tactor loads ...it a breeze for the oil to handle

Delo 400 and Rotella works for me. My 1100 would make some of the loudest clunking noises when shifting gears. after riding with Delo, that clunking is gone. Delo 15/40 is what I have in it right now and in the colder months I will switch to Rotella 10W/30 because the 15/40 is too think and my starter just whines at me.

I've run Rotella in mine a few times, and it does seem to quite some of the "normal" noises....but it shifts better with bike oil or auto oil. Also, the sneezle oils today are not the same as they were a few years ago, much like auto oils. They have been reformulated since now the sneezles also have to pass muster with the EPA guidelines. :whip:

whats your opinion on the synthetic diesel oils for use in the bike. reason I ask is I can pick that up cheaper than regular through my work
Rotella T5,T6 gets good revues. Just because it is synthetic does not necessarily mean it has friction modifiers, Heavy duty, blend or full synthetic. Seems they get the weight down by blending in or created synthetic.

yes im sure there is great stuff out there .. but not on my budget so i have to look for what works for me and my budget ... thats why i put the part in my post on other thread that my reason for using was access ....not to try and sway people from there products of use :thanks:

Delo is $13.00 a gallon. Works for me!!!

Diesel oil in the bikes. Yep.

In my Victory, instead of paying $60+ for an official Victory motorcycles oil change kit, it was the following:

2 gallons of Rotella Silver jug - $28 at Walmart (6 quarts per, so had 2 left over for the next change)
1 Oil Filter for an early Mazda RX7 - $3.

$31 for the oil change, and the oil was better than the Victory stuff. Quieted my clutch down, and kept the 55k mile air cooled v-twin nice and lubed.

I have put Rotella dino oil and Rotella synth oil in my Oldwing.
I can't feel any changes..
Oh I think the gear shift became stiffer.. sometimes difficult to put into neutral.
Not sure due to oil or something else.
May go back to regular motorcycle oil next time.
