Fuel pump question

When putting power to the pump,should it vibrate,pulse or make any kind of noise.I think mine is dead.jumped it off the battery and it does nothing

It should if it's electric pump ..mine I have sat sat for years I had to free it up ..with something on blaster ..wd 40 can't remember but it's been working great since ...

Joe,I agree with you.I've never had an electric pump that didn't make some noise.
