Grip advice

I wanted your advice on some grips that are 1 inch. I was wondering if anyone ever bought a 1 inch pair and used them on the 7/8 bars.
I know the throttle side is 1" but I would have to shim the other one. I do have an extra throttle sleeve, I was thinking I could cut the cable hooks on the sleeve and glue it to the bars then slip the 1" grip over it.
Sound doable?..Any other idea`s?

Depends on the style and make of the grips. Often the 1" grips are still tight enough for 7/8" bars and a little adhesive will hold them in position a long time.

I remember someone saying way back when that Aqua Net hairspray works best for an adhesive on the grips. Can't say that I have ever tried it.

Thanks for the advice..I guess I`ll just order them and see , Maybe I`ll get luck and a little hair spray will hold them.
