Does anyone have experience with using a headlight modulator with their GL1200.
This should be a H4 bulb. I have been looking at the Kisan brand, but finding very little reference to what type riders are using.

I read somewhere that it's legal in all states (US) if it has a sensor to disable modulation when it gets dark. It is a federal law. Some local law enforcement doesn't know this so you should carry a printout of the law etc.

I tried cheapo (w/o the sensor) from JC Whitney on CB750. It was just a modulator w/o bulb so it can be connected to anything (probably not HID).

But I heard that irritation/road rage factor and didn't use it much.

Yes,
They are 50 state legal as long as they modulate from hi to low not on oand off,and are disabled at night with a sensor.
I do not recall the brand of mine, but it was plug and play with no wire cutting.
