Ayup, I've tasted the open road and local cruises that satisfied in the past don't cut it anymore. I was never that comfortable on the highway with Old Girlfriend. Now after riding the son-in-law's 1500 home from Cali I can't get the open road off my mind. Commuting to work is just a minor fix for this new monkey on my back. Good grief I wish I could go to French Lick! I need to win a Lottery or something.

~O~

You already won the lottery.Look what ya got to ride! But I hear ya on the gas money. I hate wasting gas to cut my grass.

i can relate to ya. my 1200 is a fine wing and i've had it on a few 300 - 400 mile rides but the 1500 fits me better and i'm much more comfortable on it. i replaced the stock height slip stream windshield with a cee baily+1 tinted windshield ( both have a vent ), a very good upgrade

I can relate as well O, having done Chicago-Phoenix and back 3 times, twice on the 1500's and once on the 1100. A world of difference between the two. Twice I did the trip in 2 days (900+ a day for two straight days) with the 1500's. Couldn't even come close to that with the 1100, 600 miles in a day with the 1100 was about all I could handle.

the only thing i don't like about my 1500 is the weight. you would have thought that honda would have use some aluminum in some places instead of steel to save a few pounds
