Question for the masses!!

I’ve got a leak again, this time it’s dripping right below the bolt which holds the front cover on at the bottom. I thought it was coming from the cam shaft seal but it’s not; looks like it’s more from the valve cover or the gasket itself.

Is the valve cover gasket like the grommets where if they get taken off and put back on so many times they essentially fatigue out? That’s the only thing I can think of though I’ll be ordering more grommets regardless but I’ll also replace the valve cover gasket too just to be safe. More of a generalized question

Yes they do that those grummets can get bad to where the bolt bottoms out and not much pressure on gasket ..I’ve made papers washers to add to it all to get it to seal ...still using it that way ..been that way for years ..

**** part is these gaskets were brand new and I’ve only taken the valve cover off on the right side twice since the rebuild. The grommets were brand new as well which really pisses me off lol
