Metzler ME880's - expected wear?

Anyone have any real world life expectancy of ME880's? I have about 6K miles on mine now and I'm just wondering how much to expect....

They don't look like they worn much.... I've never replaced motorcycle tires before, so I'm not sure how many miles to expect...

Never had a Metzler myself, but you have exceeded any mileage that I have gotten on my cheap ass tires.

I got 9,000 on my rear and still have the front on-12,000 I use dynabeads and it hss helped get more out of my tires. This is my third set of metzler marathons.
Without the beads I got about 8,000 on frnont and rear.

My Bridgestone S11's with Dynabeads looked new after years of riding before i sold Old Girlfriend(my 1100).

My Bridgestone S11 front tire has over 18,000 miles on it and is finally showing wear. I am going to replace it this year because of age and the fact that it is within 25% of the remaining tread.

Tires like shoes will last much longer if they are rested and cooled often. To say shorter trips especially in cooler weather. As the roads get hotter and the rides get longer the tires will wear faster. A long ride for me is 100 miles so my tires seem to last nearly forever.

I live in the desert with 130f temps at the road, but they were commuter miles with a few runs to Laughlin.
