M'kay...so I get my rear speaker kit today and have a couple hours to install with a hour extra for unforeseen consequences. I did not finish.

I get the rear speakers into their enclosures and hook up the rear harness to the harness under the seat in about an hour cause I'm taking my time like a good little Wing owner. But you see I wasn't done, noooo sir. Mamma Honda is nice enough to put a rear speaker harness from the front of the bike all the way under the seat to just before the trunk but the damn thing isn't hooked up to anything at either end. :head bang:

So like I've said the work at the rear of the bike is done. Now the instructions are clear and sound very straightforward. Well what I've done so far is just the tip of the Iceberg(I can already hear JoeDrum in my head "Serves ya right boy.") I start removing stuff, a lot of stuff. L pocket, L side panel, L fairing trim, L engine cover, L windwing, lift ignition panel off, open tank door - release both locking tabs under there, lift radio shelter and I hear all kinds of stuff popping, releasing and loosening...THAT'S IT! :Awe: I step from under the awning and look at the rapidly sinking sun and start putting it all back together. "F" this, I'm calling the Vegaswingnut.

Tomorrow I'm off to George's after work to help me finish. He's got tons of experience with this Tupperware and we need to go for a cruise afterwards anyway, it's been forever. Sure it's supposed to be 110F tomorrow but he has a swampcooler in his garage. :Egyptian:

Shouldn't the thread be " Why rear spear installation?" . I intend to run a 15 watt 5v power supply with a hub in the topbox which will charge a spare blue tooth headset, 10000ma USB battery back up, GoPro spare battery charger and power the iPhone. The iPhone has full Sygic GPS maps, mp3 tunes, remote for the GoPro Hero3 camera and cell phone. The blue tooth headset will also allow communication amongst the riders. All the old CB and stereo off the Rats Nest has gone in the trash. :clapping: :music:

I love to listen to the radio when riding, and I believe only the SE models came with rear speakers from the factory.
