Do any off you guys know about pin striping? I've seen guys do it free-hand with one of those special brushes and I've seen those expensive decal sets you can get for your hond. But I am wondering if there is a very thin tape that is meant to be clear coated over. The local body shop supply has pin striping tape but that just goes on top of the finished work. :headscratch:

Thanks
Brian

You can clearcoat over the tape. But it isn't needed. Just a dab of clear nail polish on the ends it will hold longer than you want it to.If it's applied on fresh paint or paint with all wax removed.

I used striping from auto zone after I painted. Then I put 3 coats of clear coat on. The striping was a perfect match to the original.
