last summer my niece lisa ( riding my 1200 wing ) and i were traveling from logansport, in to boardman, oh when the 1200 stopped charging. we ended up putting the 1200 and lisa in a u-haul and sending them home. eric, vanessa ( riding their 1500 wing ), and myself made it to boardman and on to frackville, pa the next day. i will be returning to frackville next year and would like to have the 1200 ready so lisa can attmpt to ride there. it would be her longest road trip on a motorcycle. eric and vanessa are from OZ and vacationed in the Us by taking a cross counry trip from sumas, wa to frackville, pa. lisa and i met up with them in logansport

I could fit it but not sure if I am close enough -- you have not told us where YOU are.
Not sure if the "42.23/83.33/636" location in your profile is a map reference or IP code... then again could be a zip ( postcode ) , I have no idea.

Doc,

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

If you've got a place for me to crash while there, I'll come out and help you with this. I just need internet access to take care of my business and communicate with Trike Lady and other people/sites, and I would like to meet you and your family, William.

Let's "get 'er done" and then ride together! I'll drive my '85 Aspy out.

Kevin

That's too bad that you don't have the work area as that was a great offer from Bobo

it is a great offer from bobo. i might have to trailer the wing to bobo's place

I can understand the shops not wanting to do it. I wouldn't do it professionally and it would only be a last resort for my self if I really couldn't fix the Honda system. With the availability of cost effective LEDs and HID kits it is possible to keep power consumption down to a level where the standard charging circuit would last forever. I know they work but I don't like the pulley so far in front of the crank bearing and would be worried about too much tension and side load from the poorboy.
