I tried starting my 1980 GL1100 today and noticed the positive battery terminal was melting. Really hot! Quickly disconnected it. Any ideas? No fuses blown. Thanks, cooltindog.

hmmm well glad its diconnected .....is this when starter button is pushed or right when key is turn on ?

Not sure. I will wait for it to cool down then hook back it up and see, then add to post.
Ok, while hooking pos cable up, there was rust on bottom of cable from recent rains... cleaned it and that fixed problem, so i guess resistance is the answer.
