Hi everyone. This is my first new post so please let me know if it is in the wrong place . I have an 83 Aspencade with the AM/FM/CB/Intercom Clarion 2? Audio system. My cassette player works although the speakers needs some help but my problem is I can't get the Tuner on the AM/FM radio to tune in anything. I do not have an Antenna at this time but I figured the tuner should at least show itself going through the stations. The display is working. I do have a clock and it adjusts ok. The display does light up and show the Starting default AM and FM station numbers but nothing happens when I push the tuning buttons., it doesn't scroll through the stations. It just sits there on the AM 530 or FM 97 whatever. The CB (which I don't have a mic for yet) also wont run through the stations. It just stays on channel 1. Is this all due to a faulty Tuner? Also, Can anybody tell me where I can find the OEM Radio/CB Antenna?

it's been a while since i messed with one, but i would get an antenna too, it may not be picking up anything. also clean the buttons with some electrial spray made for electronic boards and clean the tuner switch and the pad buttons/switches....you might have to take the radio out and spray the plug too, sometimes the terminals are not making good from dust or grease or anything..Maybe that will help...it did for mine couple of years back.

Thanks,
So far today I have worked on all the plugs and connectors located behind the counterweight on the to front of forks. I pulled them apart one at a time, wire brushed what could be wire brushed and used a needle file to lightly file off the glaze on the spade type connectors to shine them up for good metal contact and sprayed them and applied dielectric grease then put them back together in and out a few times before finally connecting them all the way. Next I will open up the back of the gauge cluster and clean all the connections there. Then I Will move on to the switches and handlebar controls. I will do the fairing wires the same way.

Before you go to a lot of troubleshooting--Call Sierra Electronics in Troy Ohio they have a 800 number--- They can walk you through a lot of things about these radios over the phone. They are open till noon or 4pm on Saturdays can't remember for certain.
But call them
