Has anyone used solar panels on their trailers or bike to charge -phone, camera, tablet?
I would like to add a solar panel to my trailer but I have no idea what I need.

If anyone has done this can you point me in how to do it? What is needed?

I would also like to add my electric cooler to solar panel also. Just figured it would take too much.

Looking for your 2 cents

Thanks

They come in various sizes... first what will you need in wattage.... I have been thinking about doing this to charge a battery mounted on the trailer... that battery would run the lights and maybe some power ports using relays to isolate the bike's lights power..

If you are trying to run a cooler in a hot climate I would recommend a120w panel ( 10 amps) as a minimum.

Have seen a solar charger for a car battery on a show call Gearz, it's been a while since it's been on but they installed it on the big tool box on a car hauler and it kept the extra battery that was used to power the winch/generator charged all the time sounds like a good set-up :good:

I I've been using solar battery chargers with a USB out for a while now... You can look them up on amazon.com they're usually about 30 bucks. I have a 2600 mah and a 10,000 mah. It works pretty good for charging the phone and with portable speakers for out when camping and listening to music and such.. Don't exactly know if Thats what youre interested in but its an option.

Solar battery charger USB.. The one I had was a 2600 mah I believe... I have a 10,000 anker battery right now(that bit the dust) and they have a 18 month warranty with free replacement. So they're pretty good products.... I'm on my mobile and I had issues placing a link.. Sorry.
