This should be checked every time you check tyre pressure, weekly,monthly,whatever

If you think you run 0psi in the forks go out and release the air now then check how much pressure you have when your summer comes and the air warms up.

Also as you ride the bike the forks can and will draw air in past the seals untill it gets to about 4psi. This is why Kawasaki introduced air caps on their dirt bikes all those years ago, so the pressure could be returned to zero before each race.
