My turn signals on 82 Aspencade stopped shutting off.Have to shut them off manually.Question.My speedometer started squeeling and making a lot of noise.Disconnected at gauge. Now the turns signal wont shut off.Are they somehow connected or did they just happen to fail at the same time.Any remedy.Where is that sensor

There is a speed sensor in the speedometer that needs to be operational for the turn signal canceller to work. You need to lube the speedometer and re-connect it. I used a piece of tubing that fit snugly on the threaded stub, bent it into a u, and shot some oil into the open end so it would flow into the speedometer input. You might as well lube the cable while your at it.

Thanks for the response,Thought that was it but need expert advise thanks

Steve it was the gear in the haed squeeling.Put some oil into it and no more squeel, the rurn signals are back to working Thanks.
