    HOTTER COILS, easier

I realize that I am resurrecting an old thread here but, what year CBR coils did you use? Are you still happy with the the results? I am doing heads, head gaskets, carb rebuild, timing belts, etc. on my '82 and may as well swap coils if the 600F coils I have are suitable...

Fan switch video (running a Geo Metro thermoswitch)

I got a Beck Arnsley witch from Rock auto and it was the wrong size, so I took the redneck route and wired in a rocker switch down by the radio...not ideal, but it works for me.

    Rear tires

What are you guys running? I've had three Dunlop 404s and haven't gotten much over 6000 miles out of them. I know the old girl is heavy, and I ride hard but that's sportbike tire mileage, not what I would expect from a tourer. Let me know what you've found that works.

    Why I love old machines.

I think most of agree on this. My mom needed a riding mower, so I found an '86 Honda 3813. Liquid cooled tin, easy start clutch (slowly accelerates in whatever gear until it reaches top speed for that gear) and is unbelievably quiet. This thing is so overengineered that it will ikely not only...

    Oil

I have not noticed any clutch slipping with the Rotella. And, I twist the 'Oldwing like a sportbike every time a I ride. She ain't no showpiece.

    Whats on your head?

This. I never ride without one, but it should be my choice.
