    Where are the diodes?

My problem went away....but only because of the help you guys gave me... I had a similar problem with a 750 a few decades back and it turned out to be a diode problem. Slabghost suggested that in a '79, the rectifier is the diodes so I checked the schematics in my trusty Clymer and it showed...

    Where are the diodes?

I have found pictures where the diodes are mounted right below the rectifier but not so in a '79...=/

    Where are the diodes?

The problem came on slowly. The green light is on, I push the start button....nothing.. I push it a few more times and then it starts... Then it would start only when I pulled in the clutch... Now it doesn't even start when I do that... I think it's the diodes but on a '79 GL1000, they...

    What's this....?

As the picture shows, there is a guage with black yubes that lead to the top of the forks. The top cap is modified to receive the tubes... I did release the pressure and the front forks did drop... Anyone ever see this sort of thing before?

    What's this....?

I bought a parts bike and it has something I not only never seen, but never heard about and I thought I'd ask here what it is.. I assume it is an air pressure aftermarket attatchment that stiffens up the front forkes on the suspintion but wanted to make sure.. What I want to know is if it has...

Well, Alabama is a great state to ride in....unless you're in a hurry...=/ I believe the VFW/Legion Post (on the Back Beach Road) will offer eats and cold ones for bikers also...=) They are very bike friendly.. Thunder Beach Panama City Beach, Fl Oct 2,3,4,5,th

I won't be able to make it this year because I will be at Bike Week at Myrtle Beach, SC but I spent most of the summer at PCB.. If anyone goes to Thunder Beach, I recommend one biker event that may not be advertised much.. Head West on the Front Beach Road until you pass the last high rise...

NYC, Just like I pictured it.... skyscrapers and everything......

I never minded the traffic while riding the Wing into the Big Apple (I've done it a dozen or so times for work).... ...but the pot holes wear ya down after awhile... Come on north of the Tap....tree's, hills, curvy roads, and scenic views...and best of all, no horns or sirens...=)

    bikes pulling bikes??

I bought a Harbor Freight trailer rated for 1,100 pounds and mounted a wheel chaulk on a 2X12. Because I opted for the 12' tires on the trailer, the gross weight is about a hundred pounds so with the bike I towed, the total weight was about 450, give or take. To be honest, other than the...

    bikes pulling bikes??

...I trailered a bike with my Wing though it was only about 350 pounds...no problem other than what one would have towing a trailer with a bike.. Round trip was only about 400 miles...seemed twice that at the time though...

"Here's what we need....you ride the bike on a walkway, hit a post, lose control, drive the bike over a wall with a fifteen foot drop, while falling, jump off the bike and land in a boat docked about eight feet from...

    12/25 had to ride.

It was a balmy 42 degree's up here in New York so I leathered up and took off... Hit the Thruway to Monroe, And then route 32 to Newburgh, stopped at Orange County Choppers though I have the foggiest notion as to why... ...swooped over to route 17 and took it into New Jersey and back roads to...
